Saw anti-tariff ad, told not to air it: Carney after Trump apology
Canada PM Mark Carney revealed he saw anti-tariff advertisement which showed ex-US President and Republican Ronald Reagan criticising tariffs and had asked Ontario Premier Doug Ford not to air it. The ad was commissioned by Ford, an outspoken Conservative politician. Carney said he has apologised to US President Donald Trump who had ended US-Canada trade talks over the advertisement.
