Scientists turn Maha's ash-polluted villages into bamboo forests
Scientists at the National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (CSIR-NEERI) have transformed the fly ash-polluted areas near Koradi, Khaparkheda, and Chandrapur Thermal Power Stations in Maharashtra into bamboo forests. They developed a special method called Eco-Rejuvenation Technology (ERT) to heal the damaged land. It involved treating land with natural materials to improve its quality.
