Scientists use AI to design new antibiotics that can fight 2 hard-to-treat infections
MIT researchers, with the help of artificial intelligence, have designed new antibiotics that can fight two hard-to-treat infections - drug-resistant Neisseria gonorrhoeae and multi-drug-resistant Staphylococcus aureus. Phare Bio, a nonprofit that is also part of the Antibiotics-AI Project, is now working on further modifying the candidates to make them suitable for additional testing.
