SEBI pays ₹7 lakh/month rent for its chief Pandey's Mumbai flat, more than his salary
SEBI has leased a 5-bedroom apartment in Mumbai for its Chairman Tuhin Kanta Pandey for ₹7 lakh/month, as per documents accessed by Zapkey. Pandey had option to receive a salary equivalent to a Government of India's Secretary (reportedly about ₹2.25 lakh) or a ₹5.62 lakh/month consolidated salary, without house and car allowances. SEBI said lease is in accordance with policy.
