Section 32-B of NDPS Act allows discretion in sentencing: SC
The Supreme Court has upheld an order, reducing the sentence of an accused in an NDPS case. The Court also observed that Section 32-B of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 uses the term 'may deem fit' in addition to the enumerated factors and allows broader discretion to the Court in sentencing.
