Security flaw in Income Tax website exposed bank, Aadhaar details of taxpayers
The government fixed a security flaw on Income Tax website that exposed taxpayers' personal and financial data, TechCrunch reported. The bug was discovered in September by researchers Akshay CS and 'Viral'. It let any logged-in user access others' names, addresses, phone numbers, bank details and Aadhaar numbers. Researchers confirmed to TechCrunch the vulnerability can no longer be exploited.
