Segregated meals in WB government school spark outrage
At a primary school in East Burdwan’s Purbasthali Block-I, Hindu and Muslim students were shockingly served mid-day meals in separate utensils, cooked on different stoves by community-specific cooks, and made to dine separately. The practice, ongoing for years, has triggered administrative action. Officials and locals have condemned the segregation as a violation of secular values.
