Sensex up 700 points, Nifty rises 1% as FM tables Economic Survey
Sensex jumped over 700 points to 77,524 after Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman tabled the Economic Survey in the Parliament. Nifty was up 270 points or 1.2% at 23,518. This comes after the Economic Survey pegged growth for FY26 at 6.3-6.8%. All 13 sectoral indices were in the green, with FMCG and auto stocks climbing 2% each, pulling Nifty higher.
