Singaporeans lost ₹7,100 crore to scams in 2024
Singaporeans lost a record S$1.1 billion (over ₹7,100 crore) to scams last year. Singapore's police force on Tuesday said that cryptocurrency schemes accounted for 24.3% of total money lost, adding that majority of the cases saw less than S$5,000 in losses. The police further said that people aged 65 and above only made up 8.4% of scam victims.
