Singer Maithili, once praised by PM, hints at fighting Bihar polls
Folk and devotional singer Maithili Thakur hinted that she may contest in the Bihar elections, saying, "I would like to stand from my village constituency." Thakur recently met BJP election in-charge Vinod Tawde and Union Minister Nityanand Rai, sparking rumours over whether she'll contest on BJP ticket. In 2024, PM Narendra Modi praised Thakur for singing song on Maa Shabri.
