SP expels 3 MLAs a year after ‘cross-voting’ in Rajya Sabha polls
Samajwadi Party expelled three MLAs for "supporting divisive and communal" ideology, which the party said was contrary to its "harmonious socialist ideology". The expelled MLAs are Abhay Singh, Rakesh Pratap Singh and Manoj Kumar Pandey. These MLAs allegedly cross-voted in the Rajya Sabha elections last year. "Grace period given to [them] for a change of heart…now expired," party said.
