Starbucks is laying off 1,100 corporate employees as part of CEO Brian Niccol's plan to boost efficiency and reduce duplication. The cuts won't affect cafe workers or those in warehousing, manufacturing, distribution and roasting operations. Starbucks employs about 2,11,000 people in the US and around 1,50,000 people internationally, as per a 2024 report.
