Starbucks to pay $35 mn to NYC workers over labour law violations
Starbucks has agreed to pay $35 million to over 15,000 New York City workers over claims it denied them stable shifts and arbitrarily cut their hours. Workers will receive $50 for each week they worked from July 2021 through July 2024, city officials said. The settlement comes amid an ongoing strike by Starbucks baristas demanding better working conditions.
