Startup Founder jailed for 85 months for defrauding JPMorgan
Charlie Javice, Founder of the now-defunct startup Frank, has been sentenced to 85 months in jail for defrauding JPMorgan Chase in a $175-million acquisition deal. She was convicted earlier this year for falsely inflating the number of users on her startup, which claimed to simplify financial aid applications for students. JPMorgan bought Frank in 2021 to connect with younger customers.
