Statkraft plans cost cutting, halts new green hydrogen projects
Statkraft aims to reduce annual costs by NOK 2.9 billion by 2027 amid rising costs and weak power prices. It will abandon new green hydrogen and offshore wind developments, including Utsira Nord, and refocus on solar, wind, battery storage, and hydropower in select markets. Specific cost‑cutting actions, including possible staff reductions, will be revealed in H2 2025.
