Sudan will cut ties with the UAE, accusing it of supplying advanced weapons to the rival Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in Sudan's civil war, the army-affiliated defence council said on Tuesday. The council also claimed the UAE’s weapons enabled damaging strikes on facilities in Port Sudan on Sunday, escalating the two-year-old conflict. The UAE has denied these allegations.
