Taliban bans internet in North Afghanistan to prevent 'immorality'
Taliban administration imposed an internet ban in North Afghanistan to "prevent immoral activities". The ban covers five provinces – Kunduz, Badakhshan, Baghlan, Takhar and Balkh. The ban is limited to all connections via fibre optic cable, officials stated. However, Internet access on cell phone data will be available. This marks first ban since Taliban took control of Afghanistan in 2021.
