Department of Telecommunications issued a show-cause-cum-demand notice worth ₹7,800 crore to Tata Communications over adjusted gross revenue (AGR) dues from 2005-06 till 2023-24. The company's MD AS Lakshminarayan said the notice includes ₹276 crore towards disallowance of deductions claimed by Tata Communications. Telecom operators are liable to pay ₹1.65 lakh crore in total AGR dues till FY19.
