TCS skips govt meet on 12,000 layoffs, 600 staff's onboarding delay; shares update
TCS, which was summoned by Chief Labour Commissioner over its 12,000 layoffs plan and 600 employees' onboarding delay, skipped meeting with the Union Labour Ministry official. In an email response, TCS called onboarding delays "common industry practice" and said it'll honour all offer letters. It added that IT employees' union NITES has no locus standi to intervene in the matter.
