They cut pay even when we’re sick: MCD staff on strike over pay
Multi-tasking staff of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD), including those who check mosquito-breeding, have been on an indefinite protest over equal pay and leaves. Staff union president Madan Pal said, "We don’t get medical allowances, they cut our pay even when we’re sick. Don’t we have rights?" The workers will remain on strike until their demands are met.
