Tihar Jail launches cow therapy for ‘lonely’ inmates
Tihar Jail opened a gaushala (cowshed) as part of an initiative to offer cow therapy to inmates who are lonely or not visited by relatives. "It's a psychological method that can help eliminate loneliness," a Tihar official said. It can also enable inmates to earn a livelihood as Tihar plans to sell ghee, buttermilk and puja material from cowshed.
