Tiny extinct crocodyliform with unusual teeth discovered in US
About 95 million years ago in US' Montana, a juvenile crocodyliform nicknamed Elton lived near the Western Interior Seaway, a pinkie-sized fossil revealed. About two feet long, Elton was much smaller than most Neosuchia, which are mostly semiaquatic carnivores with simple teeth, the researchers stated. They added that, unlike them, Elton was terrestrial, likely omnivorous, with specialised teeth.
