'Housefull 5' faced criticism for objectification of women and using sexist humour. Soundarya Sharma, on whose character such jokes were made, said, "The film was made on a lighter note...and all these characters are a reflection of our own society." She added, "I want to say it's your choice to see and focus on that aspect of the film."
