Told teammates in 2012 Root would be future Eng captain: Sachin
Former India cricketer Sachin Tendulkar praised ex-England captain Joe Root, calling his feat of crossing 13,000 Test runs a "remarkable achievement". When asked about his first impression of Root, Sachin said, "When I saw him for the first time in Nagpur in 2012 during his debut Test, I told my teammates that they were watching the future captain of England."
