Tomatoes recalled in 14 US states due to salmonella concerns
Two brands of tomatoes have been recalled across 14 states in the US due to potential salmonella contamination, according to the FDA. The states include New York, Illinois, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. "Salmonella is an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems," the FDA said.
