Treatment slows fatal Huntington's disease for the 1st time, claim doctors
Doctors in UK have claimed that Huntington's disease, a fatal neurodegenerative disorder with no cure, has been slowed for the first time in a gene therapy trial. Data showed that the treatment, developed by biotechnology company uniQure, slowed the disease progression by 75% in patients after three years. The trial data has not been peer reviewed yet.
