Tremors felt in parts of Bengal after earthquake in Bangladesh
A magnitude 5.6 earthquake struck 13 km south-southwest of Narsingdi, Bangladesh, on Friday, due to which strong tremors were felt in several parts of West Bengal. The people in Kolkata, Malda, Cooch Behar, Nadia, Dakshin Dinajpur, and Siliguri felt tremors, with many rushing out of buildings in fear. Notably, the earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 km.
