Trump donates salary for White House renovation, falsely claims he's 1st President to do so
US President Donald Trump donated his salary for renovation of the White House. "I am proud to be the only President (with the possible exception of the Late, Great George Washington) to donate my salary," he claimed. Earlier, John F. Kennedy and Herbert Hoover also donated their salaries, making Trump's claim about being the only President to do so false.
