Turkey declares 3-month emergency in provinces hit by earthquakes
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Tuesday declared a three-month state of emergency in 10 provinces affected by Monday's two major earthquakes, which have killed over 3,500 people in Turkey alone. "We'll quickly complete the presidential and parliamentary processes related to this decision," he said. The decision has been taken in order to expedite search and rescue operations, he added.
