Turmeric slashes risk of bowel cancer: Leicester university study
Curcumin, a compound in turmeric, is one of the best ways to stop bowel cancer claimed a study published in 'Cancer Letters'. The study said turmeric suppresses cancer cells by up to 95%. Scientists from University of Leicester conducted a study on mice and found that curcumin blocks a protein known as NANOG, which helps cancer stem cells spread.
