Twitter's Trump ban after Capitol attack was a 'grave mistake': Musk
Twitter's new owner Elon Musk has said Twitter's ban on then-President Donald Trump after the January 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol by his supporters was a "grave mistake" that had to be corrected. "De-platforming a sitting President undermined public trust in Twitter for half of America," Musk said. He had announced the reactivation of Trump's account earlier this month.
