Two NE sites join UNESCO Tentative List
Meghalaya’s Meghalayan Age Caves and Nagaland’s Naga Hill Ophiolite have been added to India’s UNESCO Tentative List. The caves, including Mawmluh and Krem Puri, preserve records of the Meghalayan Age, while the ophiolite belt offers a rare glimpse into Earth’s tectonic history, biodiversity, and cultural heritage.
