UK, Japan call for de-escalation after Israel attacks Iran
The UK and Japan have called for de-escalation following Israel's attack on Iran's nuclear and military sites. UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer said, "Escalation serves no one in the region...Now is the time for restraint," while Japanese Foreign Minister Takeshi Iwaya "strongly" condemned the attack. "Peace and stability in the Middle East region are extremely important to Japan," Iwaya added.
