UK Biobank scans 1 lakh human bodies for health and ageing data
UK Biobank has scanned bodies of one lakh human volunteers to gather data about human health and ageing. The project, which began in 2014 ran for 13 hours a day, seven days a week across four sites in England. Each participant underwent a five-hour session involving five different scans, including MRI, X-ray, and ultrasound. The volunteers' identities are kept anonymous.
