UK likely to hike defence spending to 3.5% of GDP by 2035: Reports
The UK is expected to agree on hiking its defence spending to 3.5% of its GDP under NATO pressure by 2035, reports claimed. Notably, UK has already committed to increasing defence spending from 2.33% of GDP to 2.5% by 2027, and eventually to 3% within next parliamentary term. Prime Minister Keir Starmer earlier said UK is moving towards war-fighting readiness.
