UK to increase defence spending to 2.5% of GDP by 2027: PM Starmer
UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer on Tuesday said he will increase the country's defence spending to 2.5% of GDP by 2027. The increase will lead to a reduction in the international aid budget from 0.5% to 0.3% in 2027, Starmer added. He further called it the biggest increase in defence spending since the end of the Cold War.
