UP's Bhadohi sets World Record for largest hand-tufted carpet
Uttar Pradesh’s Bhadohi has set a new Guinness World Record by creating the world's largest hand-tufted carpet. Crafted by over 1,000 artisans over six months, the carpet covers 12,464.29 square metres and features a medallion 70 metres across. It was made for the Grand Mosque in Astana, Kazakhstan, Central Asia’s largest mosque, and showcases the Persian design 'Jannatul Firdaus'.
