UPI limits coming August 1: Balance checks, auto‑pay & status cap
From August 1, 2025, National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) will enforce new UPI rules to reduce API overload. Users can only check their account balance 50 times per day and view linked account information 25 times daily. Auto‑pay (e.g. subscriptions) will only execute during non‑peak hours. Stuck transactions may be checked just three times, with minimum 90 seconds between checks.
