US FDA links Indian Moringa supplier to bacterial infection outbreak in US
US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued a dietary supplement powder's recall from all US stores, following a probe into a multi-state outbreak of Salmonella Richmond bacterial infection. FDA said the illnesses were linked to a single lot of organic Moringa leaf powder supplied by Jodhpur-based Vallon Farm Direct. The samples, collected from patients' homes, tested positive for Salmonella.
