US flags J&K, Manipur & other Indian states as ‘No-Travel’ zones
Regions like Jammu & Kashmir, Manipur, parts of central and eastern India have been red-flagged due to terrorism, ethnic unrest, and Maoist insurgency. The US warns citizens to avoid these areas altogether. Even popular tourist spots in Kashmir Valley, Srinagar and Gulmarg, are now considered dangerous zones. "Reconsider travel to northeastern states due to terrorism & violence" says US advisory.
