US Navy ordered to pay $154,400 to software firm in 6-year-old piracy lawsuit
US Navy was found guilty and ordered to pay a software company $154,400 in a lawsuit that was filed in 2016 for copyright infringement. Bitmanagement Software GmbH claimed US Navy installed its 3D VR software, BS Contact Geo, on at least 558,466 machines while negotiations were ongoing for licenses over the 38 already issued. Navy was sued for $600 million.
