US politician calls Indian-origin Congressman's name 'unpronounceable', he says 'Call me Raja'
A city councilmember in Florida, Chandler Langevin, made a racist comment on Indian-origin Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi, saying his name was "unpronounceable". "You can just call me Raja. I guess we can just call you...racist," Krishnamoorthi said. Langevin had earlier claimed Indians come to America to "drain our pockets", following which protests erupted demanding that he step down.
