US Senate cancels $9 billion funding; Vance casts tie-breaker vote
The US Senate on Tuesday passed a bill to cancel $9 billion in funding for foreign aid and public broadcasting programs. US Vice President JD Vance cast the tiebreaker vote to pass the bill after it was stuck at 50-50. All Democrats in the Senate and three Republicans, Susan Collins, Lisa Murkowski, and Mitch McConnell, voted against the Bill.
