US spent $800mn on THAAD missiles in Israel-Iran conflict: Report
US reportedly used 15-20% of its Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) long range anti-missile systems to strengthen defence during Israel-Iran conflict. Each THAAD interceptor launch costs around $12-15 million, and defence operations, which used nearly 60-80 interceptors, have cost around $810 million to $1.215 billion. Notably, US produces only about 50-60 THAAD interceptors annually.
