US tariffs on India to slow South Asia growth in 2026: World Bank
World Bank on Tuesday said higher tariffs on Indian goods exported to US will slow down the economic growth rate of the South Asian region in 2026. It said the growth is expected to slow sharply to 5.8% in 2026 from its projection of 6.6% for 2025. India's growth forecast in the current fiscal year has been raised to 6.5%.
