US visa policy may cut India's remittance flow by $5 bn: Report
The US' recent tightening of visa and remittance policies could reduce India's remittance flows by up to $5 billion in FY26, according to India Ratings and Research. Under the base scenario, net remittances are expected to decline by around $2.8 billion, or 0.07% of GDP, the agency noted. The US hiked the H-1B visa fee to $100,000.
