Users set to be able to make payments worth up to ₹10 lakh for purchases via UPI
National Payments Corporation of India raised the limit for person-to-merchant (P2M) payments made via UPI to ₹10 lakh per day. The new limit, which will be effective from September 15, indicates that UPI users will be able to make high-value payments for capital markets, insurances, GEM portal, travel sectors, loans and EMIs. The P2P limit remains unchanged at ₹1 lakh/day.
