Verizon's ex-CEO writes letter amid its biggest-ever layoffs, says 'Allow yourself to grieve'
Tami Erwin, who quit as Verizon CEO in 2022 after 35 years at the firm, wrote an open letter to 13,000 employees part of the company's biggest-ever layoffs. "Transformation without humanity isn't leadership. To those impacted...Give yourself permission to grieve. A job is identity...pride. Losing it is personal," Erwin wrote. "The next chapter will be equally as fulfilling," she added.
