Volkswagen plans to lay off 35,000 workers by 2030
German automaker Volkswagen plans to lay off 35,000 employees in Germany by the year 2030 as part of the company's cost-cutting program. This comes amid the ongoing tariffs, by US President Donald Trump, looming over the German automotive industry. Volkswagen said that around 20,000 employees have agreed to voluntarily leave the company by the end of the decade.
