Veteran actress Waheeda Rehman shared that filmmaker Guru Dutt asked her to change her name when she entered the film industry. "[He said] your name...[is] long and not good...[He] said that the name doesn’t have glamour and sex appeal," she added. Calling the request "rude", Waheeda said she refused to change her name.
